Words and Exegetical Fallacies

Contrary to the belief and practice of many Christians, the etymological origin of a word is no sure indicator of its meaning. While I think he goes a little bit too far, Michael Heiser does a great job pointing this out in the follow video. He also explains other related linguistic fallacies. I said that he goes a little bit too far because sometimes the etymology can give us some hint as to the words meaning, but that's not always the case.
