The Dangers of Secularism Bishop Robert Barron

Though I'm a Protestant (Calvinistic continuationist), Catholic bishop Robert Barron makes some good points in this interview with Ben Shapiro. Though, I think Barron was overly harsh on Calvinism. Especially given that he describes Calvinism as teaching divine voluntarism, when in fact most Calvinists reject voluntarism. Even John Calvin himself rejected the voluntarism. Especially in the extreme forms that were present in some medieval philosophical and theological systems. Including some in Paris during his time. .

RESOLVED: Christians should reject Natural Theology - Jay Dyer vs. Trent Horn

While I'm a Protestant Calvinist Van Tillian Presuppositionalist, I found the following debate very interesting. It's between Roman Catholic Trent Horn who affirms the use of Thomistic Natural Theology and Eastern Orthodox Jay Dyer who rejects the usual sense and use of "Natural Theology" and instead argues for an Eastern Orthodox version of presuppositionalism. In my opinion Jay Dyer did enough to win the debate.

Roman Catholic Debates on Sedevacantism

(posted 2/27/15)

As an Evangelical I believe Roman Catholicism is wrong on many doctrinal issues and is not the one true Church as it claims to be. Here are some debates by professed Catholics on the topic of Sedevacantism. Sedevacantism is the view "held by a minority of traditionalist Catholics, that the present occupant of the papal see is not truly pope and that, for lack of a valid pope, the see has been vacant since the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958." Sedevacantists believe this because modern Catholicism has proclaimed doctrines which seem to contradict older Catholic teaching.

As an Evangelical, I believe these contradictions are real and that they therefore provide additional evidence that modern Catholicism is not Biblical. Of course, this doesn't (of itself) disprove the view of those who maintain only the older Catholic teaching. For that, other traditional Protestant arguments need to be employed.
